AroundU.TU is a place for incoming Tulane students to meet each other and find their community. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and guidelines. Please read them. They're short.

Community guidelines

Treat people here the way you'd want to be treated on your first week on campus.

• Be yourself. Use your real name and your own information. Don't impersonate anyone, including other students, organizations, or Tulane staff.
• No harassment. No bullying, threats, unwanted repeated contact, or sexual content directed at others.
• No hate speech. No attacks on anyone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other part of who they are.
• Respect privacy. Don't share other people's personal information, photos, or messages without their permission.
• Keep it honest. No spam, scams, or misleading listings for organizations, events, or jobs.
• Follow the law and Tulane's code of student conduct.

Reporting problems

If someone breaks these guidelines or makes you feel unsafe, you can block them so they can't message you, and use the Report link on their profile, listing, or your conversation with them. You can also send us a message from Messages, or email mktg42502026@gmail.com. A real person on our team reviews every report. If you're ever in immediate danger, call 911 or Tulane Police at (504) 865-5911.

Your account

• AroundU.TU is for Tulane students. Our team reviews every new account before it becomes visible to others, and we may decline accounts we can't verify.
• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• If you're under 18, please contact our team for help before creating an account.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time. See our Privacy Notice.

What we can do

To keep the community safe, we may remove content or suspend or delete accounts that break these guidelines. Where we can, we'll let you know why.

The fine print

• AroundU.TU is built and run by Tulane students. It isn't run by or affiliated with Tulane University.
• The site is new and provided as-is. Things may change, break, or be unavailable at times.
• We're not responsible for what other users say or do, or for listings posted by organizations or employers. Use good judgment when meeting people you've met online.
• These terms will be reviewed by a legal professional. If we change them, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
